ADOX HR-50 stands for "High Resolution".
ADOX HR-50 is based on an established emulsion that is widely available for technical purposes, featuring ultra-fine grain, excellent sharpness, very high resolution, and superpanchromatic sensitivity.
The film's speed is improved to ISO 50/18° using ADOX's new unique SPEED BOOST technology.
The gamma value is also reduced, making it perfectly suitable for pictorial photography in conventional developers.

ADOX HR-50 is particularly well-suited for landscape, architectural/cityscape, and travel photography.
In addition to its excellent resolution and sharpness, ADOX HR-50 offers extremely fine grain. Among all current black and white negative films on the market, only ADOX CMS 20 II has even significantly finer grain than HR-50.
